Cover of a zine titled IDENTIFIED: Facial recognition in feature films

Identified

"Identified" traces the evolution of facial recognition in films — how it looks, how it works, and how it is used, by heroes and villains alike. Beginning with Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968), this collection features stills from 35 films and spans across decades and genres. "Identified" was published for CtrlZ.AI, a zine fair focused on artificial intelligence that was held as an off-site event during the 2020 ACM Conference on Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency (FAT*).
